Just happy and content living off the land

It was hard to keep riding during Silk Road Mountain Race when I saw this Kyrgyz kid up in the mountains outside his yurt by the trail waving at me.

I stopped to say Hi and that’s when he ran towards his yurt and brought his puppy and gave it to me to play with. Soon him mom came out with a big smile and invited me for tea and dinner.

Spent a good half hour playing with the puppy. Before saying goodbye, I gave the kid a snicker bar and he was beyong stoked. He took the candy and ran to him mom giggling and showed her the candy. He was so excited that he forgot about the puppy 🐶. I so wanted to take the puppy 🐶 home but....

I extended the puppy to him and he ran back to take the puppy and gave me a tight hug and ran back to his mom. Innocence and cuteness overload.

Was so happy so see this kid having the best childhood he could ask for by growing up in Tian Shan mountain with a puppy as his toy. Just happy and content living off the land and moving around with the season. #happinessischeap
